Incident of police violence against protesters at the rally in Thessaloniki that took place on Wednesday for the bill of the universities recorded camera.

An arrest

According to a police statement, during the march An 18-year-old girl was arrested who allegedly participated in a group of people who moved against police officers.

The episodes exploded after the end of the march in which students from the clubs participated representing the Student Struggle Front and the EAAK group, but also people integrated into the anti-authoritarian space.

The march started in Ancient Agora Square and ended at the Macedonian – Thrace Ministry, where most of the 1,500 protesters went, according to police estimates. According to the same announcement, in front of the Command Post, a group of about 400 people with covered features attacked the police forces with Molotov cocktails, stones, and wooden objects, who responded using tear gas to repel them.

Then, as the announcement continues, the aforementioned people separated in the streets around the Command post and came together a little later at the starting point of the mobilization where a new round of tension followed with Molotov cocktails by protesters and chemists by the police. In all, the protesters threw 15 makeshift incendiary constructions (cobra-type Molotov cocktails), while damaging a shop window.
