The rapper DMX is being treated in a very serious condition at the White Plains Hospital in New York, after a drug overdose. DMX was found unconscious in his home on Friday night.
According to The Independent, External sources assure that due to the overdose the rapper suffered a heart attack.
The 50-year-old rapper maintains some brain activity, but according to the same sources, he is in a “vegetable” state.
DMX is 50 years and is considered one of the biggest rap stars to appear since the 1990s the real name is Earl Simmons.
In the United States, his first five albums, including his 1998 debut “Dark and Hell Is Hot,” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
The rapper has also appeared in many films, such as the action thriller Romeo Must Die, but also in the films Exit Wounds and Cradle 2 the Grave.
DMX has spoken in the past about his addiction to cocaine, even stating that he has been a user since he was 14 years old. In recent years he has been constantly visiting recovery and rehabilitation centers.
