Dermitzakis at SKAI: Placebo and not the vaccine that the deceased volunteer received

The death of an AstraZeneca volunteer has nothing to do with the coronavirus vaccine.

The man who took part in clinical trials of the Oxford vaccine and died, revealed the Genetics professor at the University of Geneva Manolis Dermitzakis on SKAI television, was in the group that gave the volunteers the placebo.

According to the University of Sao Paulo, which is helping to coordinate the third phase of the clinical trial, the volunteer who died was a Brazilian. The announcement of the death of the volunteer who participated in the clinical trial of the vaccine prepared by the company AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford, was issued this Wednesday by the Anvisa health service in Brazil.

It is recalled that the great trial of the vaccine in the US was stopped since September 6, after one of the volunteers developed a rare disease, an inflammation of the spinal cord called transverse myelitis.

At the same time, in Great Britain, after an investigation into the matter, the authorities concluded that there was insufficient evidence to say with certainty whether or not the disease was related to the experimental vaccine. Thus, testing was allowed to continue in the UK, as well as in Brazil, India and South Africa.
