The rapid deterioration of the epidemiological picture of the coronavirus in Cyprus alarms the island authorities.
Earlier today, the Ministry of Health announced 62 new cases.
However, according to APE, the Ministry of Health subsequently announced another 21 cases, raising the total number to 83 in the last 24 hours.
This figure is a record, since the majority of cases detected in one day since the declaration of the pandemic was 58, on April 1.
The cases are mainly in Limassol, where there appear to be chains of transmission.
