This morning, the president of ELME in Chania prefecture, Mr. Kyriakakis spoke on the program “Good morning Greece” and described the incident of the beating of the teacher by the angry father.

“The teacher did not forbid the student to enter the school. The teachers at the entrance handed out masks. The colleague was 10 to 15 meters deeper. The boy went through the entrance without taking it and was then politely commented that he should wear a mask like the other children. Then, as the teacher and the boy walked through the yard without physical contact, the father came out into the yard, pulled him by the shoulder and stabbed him in the face. It was an unprovoked attack. There was no confrontation between parents and teachers. “There are eyewitnesses, they will say it in court.”, said the president of ELME.

It is noted that after the attack the professor was transferred to the hospital, while according to himself he has two stitches on his forehead after the spoon he received.

The Minister of Education, Niki Kerameos, also intervened in yesterday’s incident, who, as reported in a post on Facebook, notified the prosecutor. “Such actions are unthinkable and will not be tolerated,” said the Minister of Education.
