Florence police were faced with a gruesome discovery. Within three suitcases there were the dismembered limbs of a man and a woman. The authorities estimate that they belong to an Albanian couple, whose disappearance was announced in 2015.
Shpetim and Teuta Pasho (54 and 52 years old respectively) returned to their homeland every three months.
In 2015 they went to Italy for a medical examination, the woman spoke with her sister on November 1 and since then she has not answered her phone, according to the Albanian daily news website.
At the time of her disappearance, her son was being held in a Solliciano prison, while her daughter stated that she had received an anonymous phone call warning her that her mother would never pick up her cell phone again.
In one suitcase were the man’s chest and leg, in the second the woman’s legs and in the third the upper part of her body.
The bodies of the victims were wrapped in cellophane and nylon bags, engraved. According to medical examiner the man was killed with a knife after suffering a neck wound.
