Speaking to Star, EODY President Panagiotis Arkoumaneas expressed concern about the rapid increase in coronavirus cases in Attica, referring to the scenarios that are being examined.
With active coronavirus cases in Attica reaching 2,100 out of 4,000 active cases in the country, measures are tightened every five days to avoid the blockade.
As Mr. Arkoumaneas mentioned, Attica has 40-60% of your cases and the purpose is to reduce them. Therefore, emergency measures are being applied to control pandemics, which have been implemented in other areas with a strong epidemiological burden and have had an effect.
We all have to wait, after correctly implementing the measures, for the next 15 days to see their performance. “We hope not to have to take any further action.” added Mr. Arkoumaneas.
Asked about a possible closure in Attica, he replied that “it is the final measure that exists.”

Regarding the return of sms to the citizen movement, Mr. Arkoumaneas stated that it is a possible scenario for the most vulnerable groups.
