After the 667 cases of coronavirus announced this Tuesday by EODY, it is considered almost certain that the color of the safety and health protection map will change.

According to SKAI, the change in the level of risk of spreading the virus in areas with increasing epidemiological data is expected to come tomorrow after the expert committee meeting. The epidemiological picture in Thessaloniki leads to the conclusion that the level of surveillance will increase (from yellow to orange) without it being clear when it will happen. From Wednesday morning to Friday, the level in Ioannina is expected to change from orange to red today, i.e. level 4, which results in a local lockdown and the same is expected for Kastoria.

What areas are in “red”

IOANNIN (from orange to red, that is, with higher risk) 263 active cases
KASTORIA (orange -> red) 124 active cases
IN GREATER SURVEILLANCE SALONICA (from yellow -> orange) 652 active cases
SERRES (from green -> yellow)
CORINTHIA (from yellow -> orange)
VIOTIA (from yellow to orange)

More than 11,000 Greeks in quarantine

5,185 active cases
6,618 under house arrest
11,595 people in quarantine

In fact, it is estimated that during the trip of the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection Nikos Hardalia to Kastoria and Thessaloniki there will be meetings to prepare for the transition to the next level of danger.

Alarm for all 667 cases

The 667 cases are cause for concern. On Tuesday afternoon, a meeting on the pandemic was held in Maximou, under the leadership of the Prime Minister. The Minister of Health Vassilis Kikilias, the Vice Minister of Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias, Professor Sotiris Tsiodras and the President of EODY Panagiotis Arkoumaneas participated.

All the possibilities are open for the next few days, always in the places. Where it is said that there is a great concern is in the north of Greece and especially in Thessaloniki.

It should be noted that today 667 new cases of the new virus were announced in the country, of which 88 are associated with known outbreaks and 45 were detected after controls on the country’s portals. The total number of cases is 26,469, of which 55.6% are men.

3,613 (13.6%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 10,539 (39.8%) are related to an already known case. 87 people are treated by intubation. Their average age is 66.
