Coronavirus – All news: summer atmosphere, New Year’s outdoor parties and concerts, overcrowding. This is the situation in recent days in luxurious Dubai that seems to have forgotten that the rest of the planet lives in fear of the coronavirus and restrictive measures are tightening instead of being reduced.
In fact, the snapshots uploaded to social networks by thousands of European tourists – including Greeks – who were in “Las Vegas” in the Middle East of Dubai to celebrate the arrival of the new year, cause outrage.
These images -according to the information- caused concern to infectious disease specialists and the Civil Protection leadership, for which a stricter control order was issued during the return of the Greeks who traveled to Dubai.

The United Arab Emirates today set a record for new cases since the pandemic began for the fourth consecutive day with 1,963 infections.
The new cases registered in the last 24 hours bring the total number of cases in this Gulf country to 211,641.
Specifically, 1,856 new cases were registered on New Year’s Eve and more than 1,700 on December 30 and 31.
The country also reported three new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from COVID-19 to 674.
Saudi Arabia, which has the highest number of coronavirus cases among the six member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, recorded 137 new cases on January 1, for a total of 362,878.
It should be remembered that in recent days, hundreds of Greeks traveled to the country to celebrate the change of era by moving away from strict restrictions and closed stores!
