A 60-year-old man from Scotland, who was on vacation in Corfu, was transferred this Thursday afternoon to a reference hotel, along with the 71-year-old who died this morning at the Corfu General Hospital due to Covid- 19.
According to the information, the 60-year-old man has not undergone a covid test, however, according to the protocol, he must be in quarantine for 14 days.
According to corfutvnews.gr, the man is in a bad psychological state since he lost his friend within hours.
The 71-year-old man went to a private clinic with symptoms of severe pneumonia and there, after undergoing a molecular test, he was diagnosed positive for Covid19. He was immediately transferred to the General Hospital.
According to the Corfu Hospital commander, Leonidas Roubatis, and with his statements to Corfutvnews, he was treated at the Hospital’s special infectious disease clinic. His condition worsened and he died this morning from heart complications.
As Mr. Roubatis said, according to the EODY protocol, no forensic examination is required in cases that have been confirmed as positive in Covid19, and in fact – as he said – in a hospital that does not comply with the regulations for such a procedure .
