Referring to the peculiarities of the largest urban center in the country, he said that “the possibility of surrounding the epidemic with local measures in Attica is minimal or non-existent.”
“It is very easy to reproduce cases of orphans that are not related to each other and in general it is difficult to implement measures, so with the return of tourists we may see a small increase in Attica,” he added.
Regarding the opening of schools (September 14, 2020), the assistant professor of Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Faculty of Medicine of the National and Kapodistria University of Athens, stressed that they must function as an educational system where children will learn to be protected , but not only in the classroom but also in the community.

However, we see that the effectiveness of the measures does not go very well between 50 and 60 years and this should concern us. Or it is the transmission of the young people – that I do not believe or that the core has remained in 50-60 and we have to see how we face it ”.
At the same time, Mr. Majorkinis noted that we have avoided the bad scenario that wanted more than 700 cases by the end of August. “We are in a mediocre scenario at the moment where we see a gradual increase in the number of intubations that is definitely due to the eruption we had 7 days ago and a relative landing of cases. We will see if this continues and we would like to see less than 200 per day, “he said.

Coronavirus: “Winter with the windows open”!
