Coronavirus: Headaches are active cases in Attica which, according to surveys conducted in the last 48 hours, are estimated in Attica at around 28,000 – 40,000.
THE Nikos Thomaidis, Professor of Analytical Chemistry at EKPA, speaking at a Mega show, he made a report on the active cases of coronavirus in Attica based on an investigation carried out in the wastewater of the inhabitants of the Basin.
The teacher refers to epidemiology as a method of observing the health status of a population.
As the professor mentioned, looking at the viral load every day in the wastewater produced by the people of Attica, that’s about 4.2 million people. “We see that the spread of the disease is evolving on average.”
He then pointed out that in an investigation conducted yesterday and the day before yesterday, between 28,000 and 40,000 active cases of coronavirus were found in Attica. “This translates to a prevalence of 0.8 to 1% in Attica,” he said.
This information is sent to general secretary of public health and to Infectious Diseases Committee that along with the rest epidemiological data are examined and evaluated.
In closing, Mr. Thomaidis highlighted that: “The use of the mask is not only necessary, it must be imposed”, since 1 in every 100 inhabitants of Attica is currently a carrier of the coronavirus.
