The daily report of new cases of coronavirus in the country every Wednesday in recent weeks is heavier … compared to at least the previous two days. Every Wednesday, the epidemiological report counts hundreds of cases, many more than those registered in the first two days of the week.
According to experts, this is attributed to the integration rate of the results of molecular tests for coronavirus, which have been carried out in the previous 48 hours. During the first two business days of the week, the attendance of citizens to the laboratories for the corresponding control increases, so the answers to the tests are incorporated into the epidemiological report on Wednesday.
The six “overwhelmed” Wednesdays
The number of 248 new coronavirus cases announced today followed after two days, where the cases were below 200 (169 and 156 respectively, for Tuesday and Monday).
A similar image was observed last Wednesday. On Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1, 183 and 207 cases were reported, respectively, to increase to 233 the following day, Wednesday, September 2.
Continuing the flashback of the epidemiologically difficult Wednesday August 26, 293 new cases were announced. Their number was almost double that of the immediately preceding days of the week. 170 cases were reported on Monday, August 24 and 168 the following day, Tuesday, August 25.
On Wednesday August 19 there is a small “reversal” since the maximum number of cases for that week, after August 15, is registered on Tuesday and Thursday (of 269 cases). That Wednesday, 217 cases were reported.
On the immediately preceding Wednesday, August 12, the number of cases was 262. The previous day, 196 cases of coronavirus had been registered and on Monday, August 10, 126 cases.
On the first Wednesday of last month, August 5, the daily report of the epidemiological bulletin was 124 cases. During the previous two days of the week, 121 and 77 cases were registered, respectively.
