The National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced on Friday afternoon (29/1) that the new laboratory confirmed cases of coronavirus are 941, of which 17 were identified after controls at the gates of the country. The 526 they were located in Attica.
The total number of cases is 155678, of which 52.1% men. During the follow-up, it was found that 5927 (3.8%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 48600 (63.9%) are related to an already known case.

In the last 24 hours there were 22 new deaths from COVID-19 disease, reaching 5,764 deaths in total in the country, of which 3388 (58.8%) men. The mean age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 95.5% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
Also 260 people are treated by intubation. Their average age is 68 years. 193 (74.2%) of those intubated are men. 85.8% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older.
