There is a new increase in coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours in our country, with a number that rises to 2,199, compared to 1,044 on Monday.

At the same time, the number of new deaths has increased, which, according to EODY, reaches 111, while yesterday it was 85.

In the past 24 hours, 21,033 molecular tests and 9,982 rapid tests for coronavirus were performed nationwide, a number that rose significantly based on Monday’s diagnoses.

Today we announce 2,199 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 25 were identified after controls at the gates of the country. The total number of cases is 107,470, of which 52.9% are men.

4,919 (4.6%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 28,590 (26.6%) are related to an already known case.

596 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 65. 167 (28.0%) are women and the rest are men. 75.8% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 597 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

Finally, we have 111 more deaths recorded and 2,517 deaths in total in the country. 1,021 (40.6%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 80 years and 96.6% had some underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
