“Brother, I may never see you again. We were going to hear footsteps if they too died.”
As much as I wait behind her balcony door, The footsteps of Charalambos, his brother, will never be heard again.
Mr. Giannis Amarantidis spoke on a Mega show with heartbreaking words about the loss of his brother who was carried away by the coronavirus. His only consolation now are the photos of two children who grew up together …
“In 3 days it was full, in 4.5 it left here, in 11.5 we lost it”, He reported on the evolution of his brother’s health.
It all started with symptoms that were not reminiscent of the coronavirus, in a healthy person. “He wasn’t sick when he was donating blood. He had no symptoms, his back hurt.”
As Mr. Amarantidis said in a hospital visit that revealed the nightmare. Babis, as his brother was called, had a coronavirus. The family was forced to quarantine in Kastoria, the patient went by ambulance alone and was left alone.
“A terrible feeling, and that is why I am bothered by the wretched who say there is no coronavirus” says his brother.
With this farewell in memory of his brother, he will send his own message so that other families do not go through what yours went through.
