Another of our fellow citizens lost his life due to complications from the coronavirus, as it was known some time ago. This is a 49-year-old man who was hospitalized in an AHEPA ICU bed since August 1 and suffered from diabetes. The total death toll now reaches 290 in your country.

It is recalled that on the afternoon of Monday (7/9) the National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced 156 new cases of the new virus in the country, 13 of which were detected after controls at the country’s gates. The total number of cases is 11663, of which 55.8% are men.

Note that two of the five deaths occurred a few days ago. One concerned a 47-year-old man who died Thursday of an acute myocardial infarction at the Hippocratic Hospital. The man tested positive for the virus on Sunday night, that is, after his death.

Also, a 51-year-old woman ended up in the Thriasio ICU on August 31 but was declared today.

All 42 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 69 years. 10 (23.8%) are women and the rest are men. 90.5% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older.

Also 160 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
