Coronavirus: 202 new cases in Greece – 86 in Attica – Health

The spread of the coronavirus epidemic in Greece continues with an undiminished intensity, as the National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced on Friday afternoon (9/4). 202 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 9 were detected after controls at the country’s gateways.

The total number of cases is 11,200, of which 55.7% are men. 2,188 (19.5%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 4,910 (43.8%) are related to a known case.

• 9 cases during controls carried out at the country’s entry gates
• 1 imported case that came voluntarily to be tested
• 86 cases in PE Attica, of which 16 report recent travel within the country, while 4 are associated with confluence
• 16 in PE Thessaloniki, of which 2 are connected by confluence, while 1 reports recent travel within the country.
• 3 cases in PE Etoloakarnania, of which 2 are associated with confluence, while 1 reports contact with a confirmed case

• 4 cases in PE Kozani, of which 1 reports a recent trip within the country
• 3 cases in PE Corinto, of which 2 report a recent trip within the country

• 1 case in PE Magnesia
• 10 cases in PE Pella, of which 6 are connected by confluence, while 1 reports a recent trip within the country.
• 12 cases in PE Pieria, of which 6 are connected by confluence

• 1 case in PE Trikala

Intubated patients are treated 38 of our fellow citizens. Their average age is 69 years. 10 (26.3%) are women and the rest are men. 92.1% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. Also 157 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

Finally, we have 1 more death registered and 279 deaths in total in the country. 102 (36.6%) were women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.1% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
