The positivity index jumped from 9.81% on Sunday to 20.49% on Monday, which is the second highest percentage recorded since the start of the pandemic. The highest was 53% on March 22 with 94 new cases in just 176 tests performed at that time.
The fewest tests in the last two months
The last time they were held less than 7,000 tests, on October 13, 2020, the positivity rate was 4.42%. At that time, only 295 new ones were detected in 6,670 tests cases. Respectively, on September 28, in 6,107 tests, only 269 cases were detected, which meant 4.4% positivity, while on October 5 in 6,003 tests, the new cases were 303 with positivity reaching as 5%. It is worth noting that since that day, there has never been such a small number of tests as today (7.12).
This, then, is of great concern to both scientists and the government. the degree of positivity. If you look at the data, you will see that there is no serious reduction except for individual days that fell to the single digits.
