There has been a new increase in coronavirus cases in our country in the last 24 hours, since 436 new cases were detected, of which 65 are related to known outbreaks and 17 were detected after controls at the entrance doors. At the same time, six new deaths were registered, raising the tragic story to 430, while those intubated with 91 of our fellow citizens in the ICU are at high levels.
This is the third highest number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic. The 460 cases were preceded on October 2 and the 451 on September 21.
Specifically, according to an announcement by the National Public Health Organization (EODY), the total number of cases is 21,381, of which 55.8% are men.
Of these, 3,170 (14.8%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 8,727 (40.8%) are related to an already known case.
91 intubated
Meanwhile, 91 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 68 years.
Of these, 25 (27.5%) are women and the rest are men. 90.1% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older.
At the same time, 236 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Six new deaths
Finally, we have six more deaths registered and 430 deaths in total in the country. 160 (37.2%) are women and the rest are men.
The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.5% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
