Climate: With successive inclement weather that will be accompanied by cold invasions, we will see each other as everything shows in the third ten days of the month, according to what he mentions in his Facebook post, the Broadcast television meteorologist, Klearchos Marousakis.
The first wave of bad weather is expected tomorrow Wednesday, but also on Thursday where the barometric lowers from the region of Italy accompanied by bad weather fronts will affect our country as it will move east.
The main characteristics of this wave of bad weather will be the rains and storms and at the end of it (Thursday) the stormy winds from the north but also the drop in temperature. It is noted that the phenomena (rains – storms) locally it will be strong in the west, northeast and east of the Aegean.
In our first map you can see the evolution of the phenomena for the new 24 hours. In the second map we indicate the marine areas with the highest intensity of wind where we use the arrows to represent and from where they will blow. In our third map you can see the temperature fluctuation for tomorrow Wednesday.
On Thursday, the rains and storms will affect the Aegean, as well as the areas of the continent of our country that are wet by it (fourth map).
At the same time, the north winds will strengthen significantly (fifth map) approaching storm levels in the Aegean (8 Beaufort). The temperature as we can see in our sixth map will drop with the cold quite intense at night and in the morning when there will be local frosts in the hours of Friday morning towards the northern part of the continent.
During Friday and especially the weekend it is expected that the climate will “soften” since warmer masses of gas (seventh map) will move from the coasts of North Africa towards our country, raising the temperature again. All this is due to a low barometric that from the North African coasts will move eastward and on Sunday they will pass through the southern areas of our country giving local rains – mud rains with emphasis on the central and southern geographic regions ( eighth map).
Bad weather from carnival monday onwards
The change in atmospheric circulation predominates with the flow of noon (the weather comes from the north), we wait from the 15th of the month onwards. As we can see from our last map, the atmospheric mountain that has been covering southern parts of Europe for days is expected to expand into the northwestern parts of the Old Continent, essentially paving the way for bad weather to reach us from central and northern Europe. So we estimate that as of March 15, successive bad weather will give a lot of rain – storms and snow even at low altitudes with the cold making its presence felt in one of the last possible appearances of winter since spring does not seem to leave much room for action.
