Clean Monday with coronavirus: where you can fly a kite

The Undersecretary of State for Civil Protection and Crisis Management clarified the measures that come into effect for the celebration of Clean Monday, Nikos Hardals. According to him, the prohibition of “supralocal movementsThat is, from prefecture to prefecture.

Specifically:

  • Supra-local movements are not allowed, except for the well-known exceptions that already apply, for example, for movement for work, return to permanent residence.

  • Exercise and walks with pets (sms 6) are allowed only on foot or by bicycle and not by car, while in movements related to the provision of assistance, the police are now asking for additional clarifications.

  • The traffic ban is normally in force every Monday, that is, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next day, for areas that are at high risk levels, as well as Attica and Thessaloniki.

Exceptions for travel outside the prefecture

Nikos Hardalias explained that there is no provision for travel from one regional unit to another due to Shrove Monday.

These exceptions refer to:

  • Travel outside the prefecture for citizens who work in a different prefecture than the one where their family resides and want to visit it, with the necessary demonstration of E1 and E9 in case of police control.

  • Traveling outside the prefecture for health reasons, upon presentation of the corresponding medical certificate.

  • Travel outside the prefecture for a ceremony (for example, funeral of a first or second degree relative), which is certified by a written statement from the citizen.

  • Moving out of the prefecture for parent-child communication and refers to divorced or separated parents.

  • Traveling outside the prefecture for the transfer to the place of permanent residence, with the certificate of residence for special use from the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE) or with E1.

  • Travel outside the prefecture for students, for which proof of primary residence and a document from the School are required to return to it.

What stores will be open

Supermarkets across the country will be closed. Green monday but, like last year, they will be open fishmongers

and the ovens. They will also work normally popular markets.

Therefore, on Friday and Saturday, by sending the code 2 to 13033, citizens will be able to travel and proceed with their purchases in a supermarket in their municipality or within two kilometers of their home.
