More specifically, with a JMC of the Ministers of Education and Religions and Health to be published today, it is decided that extension (without amendments) of the validity of the JMC with the number Δ1α / ΓΠ.οικ.23093 / 6-4-2020 (Government Gazette Β’1178) regarding temporary restrictive measures in places of worship, until 28.4.2020.

It is recalled that the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis I had previous telephone contact with him today Archbishop of Athens and all of Greece Mr. Ieronymos.

The Prime Minister wished the Archbishop a happy new year and a happy resurrection, while she asked him how his health was developing.

Mr. Ieronymos informed him that things are going very well and that will work normally from today in the Cathedral of Athens.

As it became known, during the communication, Kyriakos Mitsotakis informed Mr. Ieronymos about evolution of the crown pandemic and thanked the Church for its important help in this collective effort.

The archbishop emphasized that the Church trust government work and the difficult and effective fight that the Prime Minister himself has undertaken to protect public health.

Finally pointed out that the Church has always been on the side of the State in all matters of national importance, such as this test, and follow the instructions and suggestions of its competent authorities, since what matters is the health of all our fellow citizens.
