The final decisions of the government for the gradual lifting of the lockdown will be taken as Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said next week and depending on the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic, but the only certainty is that the current measures will extend for at least one week and that Christmas will be different, during the already classic attack of Stelios Petsas.
It is recalled that the original schedule was for the closure to be lifted on November 30, but this plan was abandoned and a new plan was drawn up for the opening of elementary schools on December 7 and shops on December 14, but this also it is conditional, given that the reduction and especially the hospitalizations and intubation is not what the experts expected and expected.

This possibility was again opened by the Secretary General of Commerce, Panagiotis Stampoulidis (Ant1). It is also recalled that the Government spokesman has not ruled out that the prohibition of night traffic remains in force.
Stampoulidis noted that commercial stores will open if experts give the signal.

It is recalled that the Minister of Development Adonis Georgiadis has referred to take away purchases, but merchants have described this measure as inapplicable.
It also seems possible, together with small companies, to open hairdressers with strict hygiene measures, with a limit of people per square meter, the use of a mask and by appointment, as before. “Branches like the barbers followed the rules,” Stampoulidis said.
During the holidays it also seems possible that other restrictions apply, such as the prohibition of moving from one county to another, while the mandatory use of a mask until spring is a fact.
The approach remains thorny, as the government and experts want to avoid the crowded New Year’s Eve, which will bring mathematical certainty and a third wave and with it a third strict shutdown. Therefore, it is considered to open only restaurants and cafes, with capacity for four people, restriction of people per square and without music, but not to open bars and discos. New Years Eve at home, but even there gatherings of more than nine people will not be allowed. On the eve of Christmas and New Years, additional restrictions and / or stricter controls may apply to avoid unnecessary travel and gatherings at homes, as was the case at Easter. After all, as Mr. Petsas had said, all of 2020 is different and 2021 will no longer start freely.
