Shocking revelations about how satirists act through social media and seduce girls as young as 12, convincing them to send them nude photos.
The Directorate for the Prosecution of Cyber Crimes proceeded to search four cases of juvenile pornography via the Internet, presenting cases of spontaneous and regular proceedings against three Greeks and one Pakistani.
In the first case, a Greek, pretending to be a model manager and promising a monetary reward of 300 euros, after chatting online with minors, requested and received a series of nude photos and videos of them. The man had created a female profile on Instagram and that is why he approached the girls saying that she is a famous model and photographer. He attracted a total of 5 minors between the ages of 12 and 14 to his networks, whose photos he kept for personal use. The man blackmailed the girls into sending him more photos.
In the second case, a Greek was found trafficking videos with children. The Pakistani was arrested for persuading minors to send him nude photos on Instagram and then blackmailing them with the material. Finally, a Greek was found uploading material with a minor, however he had managed to erase the material from his computer (but his electronic traces were found).
All elements were taken into account Athens Prosecutor’s Office and a committee was created to lift the secrecy of communications.
Following preliminary investigation and relevant correspondence with the ISPs involved, details of the individuals involved and their home Internet connections were revealed, while their place of residence, where the investigations were carried out, were also verified.
During the searches, a total of 2 laptops, 3 mobile phones, and a computer hard drive were found and seized.
The digital search in situ revealed a series of files (photos and videos) of child pornography, facts for which they were detained within the limits of the spontaneous procedure, while for the other national and the foreigner their participation in the illicit activity was identified , without conditions of the spontaneous procedure.
In the Pakistani house, four foreigners were found, his roommates, who lacked legal documents of residence in the country and were duly taken to follow the administrative deportation process.
The confiscated digital evidence will be sent to the competent departments of the Directorate and Sub-Directorate of Criminological Investigations for subsequent laboratory examination.
It is observed that the two villagers with the causes that were formed against them were taken to the competent prosecutor’s offices, where they were charged with criminal offenses and referred to a main interrogation.
The ordinary processes that were formed against the other national and the foreigner were submitted with the ordinary procedure to the competent prosecutor’s offices.
