Koronoios: treatment with blood plasma in two hospitals in Greece

Two patients with Covid-19 who met specific scientific criteria began receiving blood plasma from patients who had recovered, as part of a clinical study conducted in our country.

Patients are being treated at Attikon and Evangelismos Hospitals and the plasma injection will be completed in three doses every other day. We will have a picture of the course of your health in 10 to 15 days.

The study was activated on April 28 and the donor plasma collection process is underway, with plasmapheresis and then administration to critically ill patients. From a donor, 600 ml of plasma are taken, which are administered to the patient in three doses (200 ml) every other day.
