Joe Biden made his first remarks after the polls closed in the United States late on election night (US time).
“We feel very good. We think we’ve already beaten Arizona. It’s a great achievement, “he said in front of a cheering crowd.
Then he touched on Minnesota and Georgia, saying they all show he’s winning.
“We feel good about Wisconsin and Michigan and even though it will take a long time, we will beat Pennsylvania,” he continued, sending out a victory slogan.
“It will take time for all the votes to be counted,” he explained, adding that “tomorrow morning we will know the initial results.”
“We are very optimistic about the result,” he said.
“Every time I leave my grandfather’s house I stay true to what I believe and I ask them to do the same,” he concluded and thanked everyone.
“He continues to believe that we will win the elections.”
