Speaking to SKAI, the president of the Association of Greek Actors, Spyros Bibilas, left open the possibility of presenting an additional file to the prosecution for abuses.
As explained by Mr. Bibilas, the union has received additional complaints.
“Every day we accept” he expressly said and clarified that the complaints do not necessarily refer to rapes and sexual harassment but in general to abusive conduct in the context of working life in the theater.
At the same time, he affirmed that he is aware of cases, especially of rising actors, who have been victims of abuse and are reluctant to report it for fear of losing their job or not being able to establish themselves in the profession.
We, as an association of actors, have confidence in Justice and as the road has begun to be paved through it, we will wait with prudence and courage to see how the situation develops, he said.
“We do not operate with anger, we do not operate with revenge, we operate only based on the laws and Justice, nothing more,” he said, adding that “if Justice requests our assistance and we have a disciplinary board that accepts complaints, we are obliged to deliver the files that are due to abuse “.
Bibilas clarified that these are not labor disputes and appealed to artists who have suffered abusive behavior to get in touch with the Association, in order to carry out an organized action.
