Roads turned into rivers due to heavy rains
The wave of bad weather that has hit the country since Sunday (12/13) is underway, while in many areas there have been problems due to heavy rains and stormy winds.
Problems also occurred in Athens With the main feature of falling trees and paths, rivers are created at night.
In Nea smyrni a tree fell due to the force of the winds at the intersection of Konstantinos Paleologos and Homerou streets. The tree, Mega reported, crushed a car and also caused damage to the flowerpots located at the site.
The Fire Service proceeded to remove the tree into pieces and the vehicles of the municipality collected them in order to open the road. At the same time, trees fell in four other places in Nea Smyrni. According to the fire department, 14 calls were made for falling trees, the majority in Nea Smyrni and P. Faliro.
