Austria’s interior minister spoke about the many terrorists who are carrying out attacks in Vienna on Monday night and while a large police operation is underway.
Shortly after 10 p.m., an alarm sounded in the Austrian capital, following the first information about an attack near a synagogue and a large police operation.
The Austrian Foreign Ministry asked citizens of the city to stay in their homes or in the stores where they are hiding.
Nehamer said there were many injured and possibly dead. The attack, the minister stressed, was allegedly committed by many perpetrators.
In a tweet, the police said that several people were injured in a shooting in the center of the Austrian capital. “Shooting in the center of the city, there are victims, STAY AWAY from all public spaces and public transport,” police said on Twitter about what is happening in Vienna tonight.

The Austrian radio and television network OE24 reported that, in parallel to the attack, the perpetrators are holding hostages in a restaurant in another area of the city.
The Kronen Zeitung reported that a man exploded after an armed attack on a synagogue in central Vienna, and the newspaper cited several people killed in the attack.
OE24 spoke of at least seven deaths.
Other information talks about the arrest of a suspect, while KURIER even talks about 10 perpetrators …
There are many perpetrators
The information so far speaks of a suicide attack, in which an author detonated the explosives with which he was tied. However, according to Austrian police, it is still unclear how many of the perpetrator’s accomplices there were.
The media emphasized that there may be accomplices of the perpetrator who have not yet been arrested. According to OE24, about 50 shots were heard in the middle of the road near the synagogue. The fire came from a machine gun.
The Falter newspaper, citing the Home Office, reported at least one death.

The head of Austria’s Jewish community tweeted that it was unclear whether the Vienna synagogue or neighboring offices were the target of the armed attack, saying they were closed at the time of the incident.
The Israeli religious community in Austria has asked all Jewish citizens not to leave their apartments or houses, according to the Kronen Zeitung.
A video posted on Twitter and reported by the newspaper shows the police in action and gunshots are also heard.

At the same time, images of the alleged perpetrator have already flooded social media, and the German Bild published a photo that they claim shows the perpetrator at the time of the attack.
In fact, a video circulates on social networks that supposedly captures the moment when the police officer is injured.
