A 59-year-old Albanian underwent lung surgery and committed suicide by jumping into space from the fourth floor of Attikon Hospital, after slightly attacking and injuring a nurse. Last March, the suicide bomber was diagnosed with cancer and on August 19, after completing tests and treatments, he underwent surgery to remove a tumor. Since then he has been admitted to room 6 on the 1st floor, with doctors prescribing sedative pills, as is usual for patients in the postoperative period. His wife, who was called to testify before the police, clarified that the 59-year-old man had no history of mental disorders. However, she revealed that in recent days she believed that the hospital doctors had operated on her unfairly. At 5am yesterday morning he called the nurse into the room with the special button and hid behind the door to surprise her. He held a kitchen knife in his hand that he used to cut fruit.

As soon as the nurse entered her room, she attacked, and the fight was transported into the hallway. Tugging at her hair, he slammed her head against the wall and then lightly wounded her with a knife to the neck. Initially, another patient intervened, hitting the 59-year-old man with the metallic serum holder in her hand. A visitor who was also present on stage managed to push him away. Then, the 59-year-old man went up to the fourth floor and through the emergency exit he went out to the metal staircase of the hospital. From there he fell into the void ending his life. He lived in Greece for 13 years, while he was the father of two girls, one of whom studies in England. The 37-year-old nurse received first aid. Her state of health is not a cause for concern.
