According to Greek police information, the Cyber Crimes Prosecutor’s Office has clearly identified a false and misleading message, which is being distributed via emails, by perpetrators who are obviously trying to deceive, deceive citizens.
Based on the analysis so far, it appears that an Asian-based server company has been used to send the message.
Citizens should remove this message and “do not open” attachments to avoid being attacked by malware.
The content of the email is as follows:
“Congratulations,
I hope you’re sure around Covid-19 this time. You have been summoned by the Greek police. We are investigating bank fraud. Please refer to the accompanying documents for information and contact your attorney if necessary. Thanks Michalis Karamalakis. “
