The Unique Food Agency withdraws the pasta from the market.
Specifically, EFET and in particular the Regional Directorate of Thessaly, in the context of a complaint investigation, found the distribution of the product: Pappardelle de Cecco with expiration date: 09/14/2022, on whose label is written the indication in English: may contain eggs and soy, while on the corresponding Greek label which is placed with a sticker near the foreign language text, only the indication that it may contain traces of soy is indicated.
The indication of the possible presence of egg in the product has been omitted and, therefore, the product becomes unsafe for the group of people who develop allergy to eggs.
EFET demanded the immediate revocation of the entire batch of the product in question, as well as all the batches that present the aforementioned inconsistency in the labeling and the pertinent inspections are already underway.
At the same time, it asks consumers who have bought the mentioned product and are allergic to eggs, not to consume it.
