French health authorities announced today 20,586 new confirmed cases COVID-19, in relation to the 22,139 cases that it had yesterday Friday, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
The ministry also reported 191 deaths in the last 24 hours from the new coronavirus, bringing the total to 78,794 deaths in the country’s hospitals and nursing homes.
In hospitals 27,369 are hospitalized patients with Covid-19, 245 less than yesterday, registering the fourth consecutive daily drop in the number of patients with COVID-19 in hospitals.
The number of COVID-19 patients in the intensive care unit decreased to 3,225, less than 20 compared to Friday.
THE number of citizens in France who received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine amounted to 1.86 million, with the second dose having received 247,260, according to health authorities.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health announced that the country received a batch of the vaccine of AstraZeneca against COVID-19, receiving 273,600 doses.
The initial vaccines are intended for medical and nursing personnel under 65 years of age, and the first ones were carried out on Saturday. A second batch with 304,800 installments of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be delivered next week.
