By decision of the Minister of Defense Mr. Nikos Panagiotopoulos and following the suggestion of the Chief of Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, an emergency budget of 15,000,000 euros was approved, for the financial support of the personnel of the Armed Forces.
This amount is in addition to the compensation paid. for the revocation of the staff’s summer license, so that the Armed Forces respond to the emergency conditions of the last quarter.
The political and military leadership recognizes and thus rewards the zeal and willingness of the Armed Forces From March until now they have calmly and resolutely confronted the Turks, giving forceful responses when necessary.
According to information, the money will be credited directly to the accounts of the executives of the three Branches.
