The Archbishop of Athens and all of Greece, Ieronymos, continues to fight against the coronavirus.
The Archbishop has been hospitalized since last Thursday in “Evangelismos” since he was diagnosed positive for covid-19.

According to the latest medical announcement, “His Beatitude Archbishop Jerome’s state of health remains constant. All required examinations have been performed and the appropriate medication is being followed, in accordance with the instructions of the treating physicians.”
The archbishop was diagnosed positive for the coronavirus after a test he underwent on Monday night and yesterday he showed mild symptoms, as a fever of 37.7 rose.
The Archbishop was initially admitted to a negative pressure ward, but later admitted to an Intensive Care Unit, for purely precautionary reasons, due to age. Then it was moved to the ninth floor that has now been created, in order to have 24-hour monitoring. On Thursday 38 fevers rose.
Archbishop’s Message: By faith in God we will conquer
Through the representative, Archbishop Jerome had sent a message to citizens to respect the hygienic and faithful rules of health.
“I personally participate as a pastor in the ordeal that concerns thousands of our brothers in our homeland and millions throughout the Universe. I share in the agony and pain and fear of all, that with our Faith in God we will all win, ”the Archbishop stressed to those close to him shortly before his presentation.
