An employee of the US embassy in Kiev died after being attacked in the Ukrainian capital and local police are searching for a man suspected of killing her.
Sanver Nikaelo was found unconscious by passersby near a railway line in a Kiev bush. She suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital, where doctors were unable to keep her alive. “During the search of her personal belongings, an identity card with her name was found indicating that she is an employee of the United States embassy,” the police announced through Facebook.
Authorities are looking for a 30-40-year-old man with short black hair, wearing black shorts, a T-shirt and dark blue sneakers, as a suspect in the brutal beating of the woman.
The US embassy was not immediately available for comment.
