A devoted soldier of yours US National Guard she committed suicide after being sexually assaulted by her peers, according to the mother of the unfortunate girl who denounces a criminal in action by the command of the military body.

In accordance with CBS, The gruesome “chain” of events that led to the girl’s suicide began two years before her death, when a high-ranking member of the National Guard sexually assaulted and harassed her on several different occasions while her unit was in Kuwait. Later, Robinson was sent to Afghanistan, where he was allegedly a victim gang rape by many of his fellow soldiers. This time she was too scared and frustrated by the system to report the incident. Four months after her rape, the young woman ended her life.
The United States Army launched an investigation into the death of the National Guard and later gave a report to his mother, many parts of which were withheld due to sensitive information. In a paragraph that was not “blackened” it was mentioned that “Sergeant Robinson suffered ‘sexual, physical and psychological trauma’ during the temporary parking of his unit abroad, and that the consequences of this trauma contributed to his death. “I did not understand how it was possible for them to sit there and give me this document looking into my eyes.” says the mother of the undefeated guard.
According to her, the army carries much of the responsibility for the death of his daughter, for the inaction and indifference he showed after the girl’s first complaint. Eight months after the girl’s death, the officer who allegedly attacked Robinson in Kuwait received a written reprimand, which her mother considers a joke. “It was a job he loved. He did it for his country.”, says of her daughter who enlisted in the military in 2010, adding that she herself is constantly tormented by the idea that perhaps he could do more to help her.
According to CBS, the military said in a statement that a thorough investigation had been carried out into the alleged sexual assault and that appropriate action had been taken against the officer involved. “We remain committed to the goal of eliminating sexual assault in the military, through an effective response to complaints and the imposition of appropriate punishments on those responsible.” said the Army policy advisor Elizabeth van winkl.
