The measures affect the Attica basin and come into effect from next Monday, September 21 to October 4.

He spoke of an alarmingly growing trend with almost doubling the number of cases in Attica in two weeks and said that the epidemiological burden is particularly heavy in central Athens.
“The increase in cases coincides with the return of licensees, which has increased the population density,” he said, adding that “recommendations for those over 65 are being strengthened by minimizing travel, avoiding collusion and reducing social contact “.
For his part Mr. Hardalias He said Attica is “in the orange” in terms of the level of risk and cited some statistics.
“In 14,400 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,084 are active in the virus and of these 2,100 in Attica.” Finally, 966 of these cases are located in the Municipality of Athens, “he characteristically said.
In announcing the measures that will take effect from Monday, September 21 to October 4, Mr. Hardalias stated:
- A maximum of 9 people is established in open and closed spaces.
- Concerts in open and closed spaces are suspended for 14 days.
- Screenings in closed cinemas are suspended.
- There is a limit of 20 people for weddings, baptisms and funerals.
- Those over 65 are recommended to limit their movement to what is absolutely necessary.
- The transfer of asymptomatic vulnerable groups to quarantined hotels is planned.
- Mandatory teleworking is introduced for 40% of employees in the public and private sectors.
- There will be a gradual attendance of the officials to their work (7, 8 and 9 in the morning).
