The sudden death of the famous actor has caused a commotion Theofilou Bandorou Just 60 years old! The sad news of his death was known in the early hours of Thursday, causing deep pain in his family, friends and all those who had worked with him. Starring in many popular Greek TV series, such as “Τmother of morality“, Through which he became known to the general public, and the 96-year-old son of the important actor Nikos Bandoros, was one of the most beloved figures in domestic television and theatrical space.
Theofilos Bandoros was born in Athens and studied at the School of Dramatic Art of the Athens Conservatory and at the same time at the DEREE College of Psychology and Sociology). For a decade he permanently lived in Paris where he continued his acting studies. There he met the great philosopher Cornelius Kastoriadis but Andrea Voutsina.
Back in Greece, he starred in many television series such as “Ethics Department”, “Lampsi”, “Ambitions” and collaborated with renowned directors, including G. Kordellas, M. Manousakis and others.
At the same time, it had a strong presence in Greek. theater playing in ancient theater, in classical and modern plays. Among them, the representations “Electra” by Sophocles, “Ifigenia in Taurus” by Euripides, “Antígona” by Anouig, “Damn marriage” by Lorca and others.
Among his great loves, however, was the music and especially the rock that had influenced him and his appearance that had, over time, the corresponding influences. From the long ponytail we first met him with as a badass and charming cop on the small screen to the leather jackets and boots Theofilos Bandoros hardly ever took off, he was a classic rocker. He also knew how to play guitar and bass for it and at some point he had formed a group with which he performed live in various rock venues in Athens.
Eager, bold and irreconcilable in 2010 he made the big decision to move to Australia. There he stayed and worked for a time, but finally he allowed himself to travel to Greece after having lived another adventure that he always liked to hunt.
About two years ago he was admitted to the “Evangelismos” hospital to undergo stomach surgery.
Vassilis Spyropoulos, founding member of the band “Spyridoula”, expressed deep regret for the untimely loss of Theofilos Bandoros.
