A total program to strengthen the Greek economy for 6.8 billion euros, announced the Prime Minister during his speech at the Vellideio Conference Center in Thessaloniki, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
According to tax experts, the most important measure is its abolition. solidarity contribution by 2021.
The measure reaches 2.3 million taxpayers who pay a total of 1,163 million euros.
However, as noted in CNN Greece, The Giannis Chatzisalatas, representative of the Attica Tax Agency, the solidarity contribution is abolished only for employees of the private sector, professionals and farmers, so it does not include those who work in the public sector, retirees and income earners.
The contribution is imposed today with about 12,000 euros tax-free and rates ranging from 2.2% to 10% depending on the amount of income. With the suppression of the solidarity contribution, taxpayers with an annual income of 20,000 euros will have an annual benefit of 176 euros.
