A young Muslim man was attacked by acquaintances because he was celebrating Christmas

A young French Muslim and the son of a police officer have been sued after being attacked by acquaintances for posting photos of himself celebrating Christmas on social media.

The 20-year-old victim initially received a threatening message from an acquaintance who saw the photo of the Christmas dinner:

The sender of the message knew the 20-year-old from school and the local soccer team.

Worried, the young man wanted to clarify the situation and went to the appointment made by his acquaintance. There, however, five people were waiting for him, who beat him and threatened him so that he would not call the police.

“They had ambushed him,” said the victim’s mother, who is a judicial police officer. “This case cannot be left unchecked. This is racist behavior. It is unacceptable in the 21st century.” No one is free to celebrate what they want and how they feel, “he added.
