Labor Minister Giannis Vroutsis announced a new program that will create 100,000 new jobs.
It is a program that will incentivize the subsidy of insurance contributions in order to create thousands of new jobs. The Minister of Labor, Giannis Vroutsis, highlighted yesterday that the JMC was signed with the Ministry of Finance, which regulates all the details of the plan.
Those employees who are hired after October 1st, with a full or part-time contract and with a minimum duration of 6 months. Article 4 of the JMC defines the basic conditions. According to these employees should not:
- a) have had an active employment contract with the applicant company-employer, as determined by the Tax Registration Number (TIN), for at least one (1) month prior to the date of employment.
- b) work in another company – employer.

The Minister of Labor, Giannis Vroutsis, affirmed yesterday that “the new program is a progressive and dynamic action that actively supports the labor market through the creation of new jobs, offering important benefits to both companies and employees. Specifically, it subsidizes for 6 months all non-salary costs incurred by companies and employees motivating new hires and, at the same time, ensures, with a special clause, the maintenance of existing jobs ”.
