A mother and a son were arrested for the murder of the 42-year-old in Serres

A 50-year-old man from Ofriniou beach was arrested by the police for the murder of Giorgos Grigoriadis, 42, whose body was found last Friday in an irrigation canal in a remote rural area, between Amphipolis and Nigrita Serres, while his tracks had already been lost by four.

The police also arrested the 50-year-old man’s mother, accusing him of harboring a criminal, as the investigation revealed that she was aware of her son’s act and yet helped him remove the 42-year-old man’s body. years from the scene of the murder.

According to the police authorities, the alleged perpetrator at noon on December 11 in the Ofriniou beach area, after an intense fight, fatally wounded the 42-year-old electrician, father of a minor, with a sharp object. In fact, the tragic incident occurred on the street in front of the houses where both the victim and the perpetrator lived.

Then the 50-year-old man transported the body in the victim’s car to a rural area of ​​Amphipolis and left it in an irrigation canal where it was found on December 16. It is expected that the two detainees will be brought before the Prosecutor’s Office of the Serres Court of First Instance.
