More than 6,200 assets coronavirus cases currently exist in Greece, according to data submitted by Nikos Hardals during the information on the evolution of the pandemic in Greece.
Mr. Hardalias announced that in the coming days (Friday) the activation of the Health Insurance Map will be announced on gov.gr. The map will be accompanied by 4 levels of categorized local measures that will be applied based on the epidemiological data of each region.
The 4 levels are: 1 – preparation, 2 – vigilance, 3 – increased vigilance, 4 – increased risk.
“Our schools are safe”
The Undersecretariat of Civil Protection also provided information on the spread of the virus in schools.14 schools have completely suspended their operation, while the departments of 144 schools across the country have been closed due to cases of coronavirus. Most of the “locks” have, of course, entered areas with a higher epidemiological burden, said the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection.
According to Mr. Hardalias, only the 0.016% of the student community and 0.033% of the country’s teachers have tested positive for the virus.
Furthermore, he noted that the cases are geographically fragmented and spatially isolated, indicating that three weeks after the start of the school year there is no dispersion within schools and therefore schools are considered safe.
Mr. Hardalias also said that the situation in the country is manageable and referred again to the epidemiological data recorded in AHAΐay Ioannina.
Yesterday, after an extraordinary meeting at the Civil Protection Operations Center, restrictive measures were announced for the entire Acaya Regional Unit and the Municipality of Ioannina.
The announced measures are:
- Prohibition of operation of all health establishments from 12 at night until 05:00 the next day.
- Suspension of any type of event such as parties, fairs, processions, etc.
- The public markets, which will operate with a distance limit between the vendor counters (5) meters and 50% of the capacity per vendor category, are excluded from the suspension.
- Prohibition of any type of meeting of citizens over 9 people for any reason, both in public and in private.
- The dining areas allow a maximum number of people at each table up to 4 people, unless they are first degree relatives where up to 6 people are allowed.
- Mandatory use of a mask both outdoors and indoors.
- It is observed that in consultation with the Ministry of Finance for the affected companies, it is possible to suspend the employment contract of the employees.
Finally, the above restrictive measures are valid for seven (7) days from Tuesday 10-06-2020 to Monday 10-12-2020.
