The minister’s girlfriend was in the cyclone of the pandemic in New York. She died “alone and helpless”, as Kostis Hatzidakis characteristically stated.
Have you experienced any cases of coronary heart disease in your close family, friendly or professional environment?
Unfortunately yes. A very good friend and colleague of mine had pneumonia due to coronary heart disease. But even more, a dear friend from her student years, who lived in the United States, got lost with this invisible enemy, alone and defenseless in New York.
You live at home What do you like to do Have you discovered new habits?
I personally was and am obligated to go to the ministry every day. Working conditions have changed, public entry has been banned lately, appointments have been limited, teleconferences have started, teleworking is progressing. It is a new daily life. Perhaps the only good thing about this daily routine is that due to the restriction of events, meetings, etc., I have a little more time to see Popi and Giannis at home. Especially with Giannis we have gotten closer during this period.
What are you doing with your child now that he sees you more?
You realize that for Popi and for me it is the center of attention. Now is the time to start communicating with words and phrases. On the one hand, it tells us that this is unlikely. The other discovers that Dad, Mom and John are relatives. He has learned to repeat these days the song “I will sit at home” and “Cat the Serenade”. And of course you recognize the logo of the ministry and every time you see it it says “Ministry of Environment and Energy”!
