According to police sources in APE – BPE, the number of rapes in Etoloakarnania may be due to the fact that this prefecture is the largest prefecture in the country, as the residential areas extend to 5,461 square kilometers.
In addition, according to the analysis of the police data, most of the violations were registered on Tuesday, March 31, while the least amount was confirmed on April 20, Easter Monday. Specifically, on March 31, 212 violations were registered and on April 20, only 19.
According to the same data, there was a sharp increase in rapes on Tuesday, April 9. So on that day the violations reached 207 and this is attributed to the fact that it was the first day that weather conditions showed significant improvement.
As for Easter days, few violations were recorded. Specifically, on Friday, 55 violations were confirmed, while on Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday, 29.
However, after Easter, on Tuesday, April 21, there was a significant increase, as there were 105 rapes, most of which were from that day until the end of April.
