The EU Summit is ongoing via videoconference and according to the information, the text of the joint leaders’ statement on Turkey has been modified in a way that satisfies both Greece and Cyprus.
In particular, the new text describes in much more detail the drafts, conditions and conditions that Turkey will have to fulfill in order to activate the positive agenda. It also includes the condition that any progress with Turkey be reversible.

The writing on human rights and the rule of law in Turkey is more intense, whereas in the first draft it did not exist and in the second there was little reference.
The changes satisfy Athens and Nicosia and now the debate on the European text on Turkey seems to be closed.
