Greece responds to Turkey’s threats and obscurantism by intensifying cooperation with Arab countries: how the Defense Minister and the Chief of General Staff continue to strengthen relations with the Arab world
Our country is deepening its cooperation with “key” countries in the Eastern Mediterranean region, with the aim of creating a security and stability axis against the offensive actions of Ankara.
In a geo-strategically critical area, but also unstable due to the well-known and practically confirmed Turkish revisionist aspirations, Greece’s relations with the Arab world acquire a new dimension, with the events that urgently require the strengthening of Greek-Arab ties at all levels: economic, political and security.
With the countries of the so-called Arab world, but also with the economically and militarily powerful Israel, we are united by a common desire for stability and security, for the observance of international law, for peace and prosperity.
We must emphasize that the Emirati people are constantly pointing out the determination with which our country faced the Turkish challenges and this fact led them to want to improve their relations with us. It is also worth noting that the Emirates have bad relations with Turkey.

More specifically, on Thursday February 25, 2021 and during the re-departure of the Hydra Frigate from the port of Abu Dhabi in Greece, it was carried out PASSEX (Passing Exercise) training with the Corvettes ABU DHABI and MEZYAD of the UAE in the maritime zone of the Persian Gulf, after the planning and coordination of the bodies involved by GEETHA and General Konstantinos Floros.
