However, according to INEMY-ESEE research, the performance of the first two weeks, compared to the overview of the discount period, is much better. This differentiation has a double reading. In the first place, due to the traditionally better returns recorded during the first fortnight of the discounts and, secondly, due to the negative effects of the market closures (lockdowns) since mid-February in the Attica region, Acaya Evia, which represent more than 65% of the total business.
The results of the research on the failure of alternative sales methods and especially the click are interesting. It is characteristic that only for 1 of the 10 companies was the form (method) that worked best based on the measures applied in each region and sector.
At the sectoral level, the worst performance is recorded in the clothing and footwear sector, where for 95.6% of companies the performance of winter discounts for 2021 is worse than those of 2020.
